GDRI International Development Economics (GDRI IDE) is organizing, in collaboration with FEMISE and a number of partners, its second annual conference, on November 15 and 16, 2018 at the CERDI in Clermont Ferrand
The 2-days event will feature a number of presentations, plenary sessions and a round table. More than 50 papers will be presented addressing priority issues for development, which include: migration, environment, poverty and inequality, income redistribution, external financing, institutions, agriculture, health, banking and finance, etc
Two plenary sessions are scheduled and a round table as follows:
Plenary Session 1: – A new economy for Middle East and North African countries
by Rabah Arezki, Chief Economist, World Bank;
Plenary Session 2: – Climate change, Inequality and Migration
by Frédéric Docquier, Professor at the Catholic University of Louvain, member of the Institute of Economic and Social Research (IRES), and of the Foundation for Studies and Research on International Development, Ferdi (co-author: Jaime de Melo , University of Geneva, FERDI) and FEMISE member.
