The theme of this year was on “Structural Transformation and the Role of EU-Med Partnership”.

The EU-Med partnership was intended to help speed up the process of structural transformation in these countries for the benefit of both parties. Unfortunately, the track record so far indicates that only modest progress has been made.

The conference offered an opportunity  to engage in a constructive dialogue about such a critical development issue  and the role of the EU in supporting the process in the south
