The two days conference included speeches given by European Commission official representatives. Speakers addressed issues on the relation between the north and south Mediterranean and how the historical ties between the two shores entail a common vision for their future. They underlined the need to engage the research community and specifically the FEMISE members in deepening the understanding of the issues that support the EU-Med partnership and ensure the success of the adopted Neighborhood policies.
